They're ok, but not amazing...
If you haven't heard any of the more obscure Goo Goo Dolls songs and you like acoustic rock ... you should listen to them. ;-) I just love that band for some reason. Also: Within Temptation is AWESOME (Davina showed them to me) ... did I already say something about Within Temptation?

I like the band "God is an Astronaut." They're an instrumental band that's really cool

Hugh Laurie released his blues album, Let Them Talk, today. I simply wish to express that I liked it. A lot.

Aphex Twin is incredible. "Windowlicker" has to be one of the best songs ever.

I forgot to mention, that I had a sudden, extremely random impulse to listen to a lot of Jerry Lee Lewis the other day.

Turns out I like honky-tonk.

I really like Saosin, but their earlier stuff is better (try "You're Not Alone" - I love that song!) and I've been listening to some Skillet recently ("Awake and Alive" and "Lucy" are my favorites).

I have recently gotten VERY MUCH into what is known as trailer music. It's the style of music that you hear in the background of epic movie trailers and such, and essentially it is described in one word:

EPIC.


Just look up such bands as Immediate Music or Two Steps from Hell.

Kris listens to that music all the time, especially Two Steps From Hell

Um... this. I suppose. I hope you were joking or recommending them for humor. As opposed to the actual music. You know what, I djust confust myself. So yah. But it is all about the Hamiltons, baby.

Amon Tobin's album Bricolage is awesome, as is Cosmogramma by Flying Lotus.

This is not so much about a specific artist, as about music listening methods. If you are someone who just pirates music, you can go ahead and ignore this post.

Spotify has come out in the United States. As of now you need an invite, but you can apply and I don't believe that it is too much of a hassle. Spotify is like a better version of grooveshark, in my opinion. First of all, the music does not come from user uploads, so there are no low-quality or pirated songs. Also, it is organized rather like Itunes, which makes things a little more easy to navigate. Like pandora, it will occasionally interrupt your music with ads, but it does not run on flash, so it a) does not slow down everything you are doing, and b) you can access it on an ipod, while you can only get grooveshark mobile if you pay. It also appears to have just as wide a selection of music as grroveshark, although I can't quite be sure.

Hangable Auto Bulb by AFX is great, as is Ambient 4: On Land by Brian Eno

I really like You Me at Six. They're not really anything special or different, just....reeeeeeally good.
