Aaaaww D: I saw a black-and-white cat outside my basement but I don't think i would have been allowed to bring it inside [my dad loved cats and became allergic to them as a result]. Real cold outside. Hope its alright.

*pouty face* I would have smuggled the cat in through my bedroom window. Hope it is okay and congrats on the piano masterclass! Good luck!

Re: RANDOM HAPPY EVENTS
You're just running an IE process in a chrome window... But I still use that :pokohokonu wrote:Have fun at your class!

Thing is, I'm running that on google chrome, which is also running on an emulator on my mac.
WUHU!

LOLWUT
An emulator for chrome? I thought it came for mac?
Anyway, it's still better than actually using IE.

Re: RANDOM HAPPY EVENTS
No, since it requires IE (it's basically running an IE window within the chrome window; that's why all the plugins work) you need an OS with IE on it. So I need to boot my virtual system, then within that bring up my IE emulator.okohokonu wrote:LOLWUT

Re: RANDOM HAPPY EVENTS
That masterclass yesterday was so totally awesome I wish I could summarize in words how awesome it was.
'Cause, like, only 6 students were chosen to play. And 3 of them were WCU students.
It went fantastic. More importantly, *I* did fantastic. [In front of about 4 DOZEN piano teachers and professors.] I did so fantastic that the teacher sitting next to me assumed I'd been working on that song for 2 or 3 years, and that I practiced 3 hours a day. Which I obviously don't -- it's a rare day if you see me sitting there for 2 hours, and I've had that particular Sonata movement for less than half a year.
And honestly learned quite a lot. It's a long story, but he ended up jumping around and nearly punching a poor student in the face in demonstrating Chopin's style. It was awesome.
[[ On a side note, that awkward moment when I encountered my ex piano teacher. Again. At a masterclass. With my current teacher grinning quite smugly at my phenomenal improvement since the teacher change a year ago. ]]
I practiced piano for two productive hours today. *fistpumps* I am awesome.

3 hours a day? Is that how long one needs to practice their instrument? slinks off in the direction of Alfred

Re: RANDOM HAPPY EVENTS
*shrugs* I have a feeling it depends on the instrument and how far one intends to go for it. In my case, apparently, also how efficiently one adapts new techniques.KillerBunny wrote:3 hours a day? Is that how long one needs to practice their instrument? slinks off in the direction of Alfred
In those two hours today I may well have practiced with the same productivity that I usually make in a week of lazing around.

Hiya, I made an account... finally. xD I think Leander was trying to get me to make an account... What? Two years ago?...
LOL I just watched my dog try and roll over and he rolled into a chair and got stuck and made a bunch of loud banging noises. He got out.
