For the book cover, its kind of hard to tell, but the dragon is sleeping in a pile of bones. And the quote says, "That lizard was death; it loved death; therefore, it slept with death."

@Ben: First one is a pretty skinny dragon! A bit scrabbley, but really cool. Second one has big feet... was that on purpose? The illustration of fighting dragons is really awesome. They look pretty robotic, too. The fourth one immediately reminds me of the book cover of The Hobbit [J.J.R. Tolkien] and if that was on purpose, it's a brilliant remake. Fifth one is a little hard to comprehend... what's the big white space? And sixth: epic, great book cover!

@Marina: It's turning out amazing! You're totally an artist. And you should post that on deviantART.

for the second dragon, its a big dragon, it needs big feet and no, I did not try to make a remake of the book cover of The Hobbit. The fifth drawing, the big white space is a pool of water (you can tell in the actual sketchbook)

thanks, I've just started the basic sketch for my dragon.

But while I'm at it, I'm first going to post my OC [original character] sheet here because I can't access dA at the moment and I just wanted to know what people will be thinking of it.

Lawl. It's me, only it's my second alter and so much cooler. [first alter I mean as me. there's a third alter that no one knows about yet. all are named the same name, though.]

EDIT: I've decided to change the age of my OC to -64. there's a whole different story to that.

Alright, here is my dragon, and obviously still WIP. Intended to be a water type.

it looks great. is it going have arms or legs? or is it one of those dragons w/o?

I just assumed the wings could work as arms, sort of, and as much as dragons without annoy me, I have no way of designing legs for a water dragon. I might add that on next, though. I'll see.

oh, and this took two hours in total, mostly from re-sketching.

well, when the arms are on the wings, it is considered a wyvern. If you don't want to draw legs, just make the view without the legs

There's also a species called an amphithere, which has no legs and two wings, but they often have feathers. To see an example, look up quetzacoatl.

k, back on topic (ahem) here is a sketchy thingy I have just spent about 2ish hours on. I dunno whether I should continue with it or just leave it rough like it is. The image may be cut off on your computers, but if you select it then drag the selection onto your desktop you should be able to view the whole thing
