Re: TV shows!!!
SUPAH NECROPOST
The Big Bang Theory. WOOTNESS.
And ironically I'm the only person in USP so far that watches it.
On another note, I strongly disapprove of the show Glee. During the less-than-half-an-hour I watched this show, I experienced the same type of brain-draining as I do with shows such as Spongebob. Also, I find it rather offensive to geeks and nerds everywhere. DON'T WATCH IT.

Re: TV shows!!!
I've recently gotten into Doctor Who... which is pretty much every frickin show on the airwaves wrapped into one. Why? Because it's got Sci-Fi, fantasy, horror, drama, romance (eww), a whole lot of humor, and british accents to spice it all up.
Re: TV shows!!!
What, really? Now I'm interested. Dangit I don't have time for this!!

Re: TV shows!!!
Yes, really. It's on a lot on BBC America.
The coolest thing about it is that the show is designed to be able to be picked up from anywhere. You can watch pretty much any episode with no background knowledge and still know what's going on.

Uh, I think most sitcoms are that way.

Re: TV shows!!!
Then I suppose I just pick up a lot of those kinds of shows.
I shall watch Doctor Who at my next opportunity.

Re: TV shows!!!
I've never seen Doctor Who; I don't even know if we have the channel that it is on. The shows that I watch (consistently) are mainly Glee and American Idol, but I've recently watched some Celebrity Apprentice (and the regular Apprentice) and the Amazing Race. I also watch Survivor. I won't watch anything but Glee from now until September though, b/c all those shows just had their finales...
Re: TV shows!!!
Have you ever even seen Glee? Because you can't bleh it if you haven't seen it.eklipse13 wrote:bleh glee...
Re: TV shows!!!
are you kidding? I watched Glee for less than 30 minutes, and I experienced the same insulting brain-draining effect that Spongebob has. It was so stupid and not-funny that I couldn't even tell it was supposed to be a comedy. Never again. So yes, I don't bleh it. I highly advise everyone not to watch it.

Re: TV shows!!!
It is not, by any means, like Spongebob, and it's not just a supposed to be a comedy. Every sentence that comes out of their mouths doesn't have to be funny, or you lose the rest of the meaning of the show! THAT'S the problem with Spongebob, besides the fact that it's just plain stupid (believe me; I would know - my sister wants to marry Spongebob), and Glee is nothing like that.
Re: TV shows!!!
Then I suppose I just had a really bad first experience. Or was totally biased towards my own favorite shows.

Re: TV shows!!!
Ok. There are some episodes which were not very funny. It's on tonight, if you want to give it a chance at redeeming itself. Lady Gaga night...
Re: TV shows!!!
Well then, fine. As long as you have something to go off of, you are entitled to your incorrect opinion.eklipse13 wrote:Again, i say, bleh glee...
And yes I have seen it.
Re: TV shows!!!
As you are entitled to your own incorrect opinion that Glee is any better than The Big Bang Theory.

Re: TV shows!!!
personally, I'll stick to not watching TV and doing something slightly more productive with my life like reading or playing guitar or something. TV is silly, convenient, but silly

Re: TV shows!!!
Okay, yes, guitar playing is more productive, but how the heck is reading productive? At all??

Re: TV shows!!!
ask Mrs. Z. or some one about that. It definitely is a much more beneficial skill then watching TV. Not to mention that starting at the TV is not very good for your eyes

Re: TV shows!!!
I don't care, from my current experience, reading is a waste of my time and much less entertaining.
Also, the amount a book will stimulate your brain in comparison to TV will be dependent upon your interest in either.
