Re: TV shows!!!
well, I'm no expert, but I expect that in general reading stimulates you more. Don't quote me on that I always find a really good book much more exciting then any TV show. Regardless this is off topic

Re: TV shows!!!
I agree, Ben. I don't watch a ton of TV; I just enjoy it sometimes. And next week is the Glee season finale, and all the other shows I watch have ended, so very little TV will be watched by Emmie over the summer...
Re: TV shows!!!
I'm watching TV online.
The difference is, this summer, I'm taking a course offered by Penn State to assist in speed reading and note taking. So, as soon as I can, I'll be implementing these to-be-new-found skills to rapidly read through the three-inch-thick CSI novels.

Re: TV shows!!!
Just FYI, Felicia,
If it's brain stimulation you look for in books, CSI novels are NOT the best way to go. You'd be better of with some Vonnegut, Adams, Pullman, Pratchett, Jordan, Brooks, Orwell, Dickens, Alexander, Wodehouse, Gaiman, Hickman & Weis, Tolkien, Lewis, Twain, Dahl, or Carol.
Just to name a few.

Ah yes, I forgot Aasimov. Also Lovecraft, and Martin, and Herbert, and Card and Stoker and Shelley and both Wells and Verne...

Re: TV shows!!!
A lot of books that I read are comedy, and I choose them for just that. I just read a great book, called Going Bovine, that you would love!
Re: TV shows!!!
I agree Felicia book are much better than tv they are interesting and they stimulate your brain! The only difference is that instead of picturing the book in your mind with television you can see it and multi-task

Re: TV shows!!!
I think books are much awesomer in the way that you can imagine the things in the book. It can make things much more freaky

Re: TV shows!!!
Now I'm watching America's Got Talent (my American Idol substitute), and the funniest classic TV show ever - and just plain most hilarious ever - Everybody Loves Raymond... (Can't argue with you Felicia, b/c I've never seen Big Bang Theory, but I'm still willing to bet that Everybody Loves Raymond is as funny or funnier- you should watch it).
Re: TV shows!!!
I like America's Got Talent. But I'd rather watch Last Comic Standing, as far as judged competitions go.
What? First there's Everybody Hates Chris, and then Everybody Loves Raymond? Interesting. Hopefully the latter is more entertaining than the former.
And sorry, if I watch nearly anything new, I'll get addicted. My time is strained anyway.

Oh, yep, I forgot the Last Comic Standing; love it! And Everybody Loves Raymond is AMAZING and eighty times better than Everybody Hates Chris (it's also older).
Re: TV shows!!!

Re: TV shows!!!
I think it's on TV Land, if you have that, from 9:00 to 10:30 and on channel five (I don't know what that is) and sometimes nine. Probably different for you, but maybe not. I think it's on those around 10:00. Idk; I watch it on TV Land.
Re: TV shows!!!
In that case, I could probably just find it online. I'm too lazy to figure all that out, and we don't have nearly as many channels as we should. So we're switching to Dish or Direct TV soon. Bleh Comcast.
