Action Script

does anyone know anything about actionscript? Jon or some one? I know it a programming language for flash... I want to learn it without buying a stupid manual for it

All the computers at my school have flash, photoshop, dreamweaver, the works...

Umm, I know some stuff about AS. It reminds me a lot of Javascript, if you have any experience with that. Umm, anything specific? I mean, AS is used for links, making buttons do interesting stuff, etc. It (if I remember right) doesn't really do anything with animation.
Maybe someone else could clarify who has used it recently? Also, I don't really know it by heart or anything, but I have used it in the past.
PS Lucky for having flash photoshop etc....
