Re: Thread for Drawings
I agree with ben, but the lines could be cleaner, although that's harder to do in painter than photoshop

Re: Thread for Drawings
well, you might want to take an eraser and get rid of those little sticking out lines and smudges around it

Re: Thread for Drawings
The robot looks a little awkward, but other than that, it's alright. relax on the shading a little, though!

Re: Thread for Drawings
I like the shading, it gives it a more 3D look

Re: Thread for Drawings
Let me guess... It's a PC? Sorry, hope you get it working again.eclipse wrote:Nice, except the lines could be cleaner, and the highlights a little less "popped out."
I would post some drawings, except my wacom, scanner, and computer are all having a freakout right now... This is the one time my computer has been fully functional in about two days...
Re: Thread for Drawings
yes, it's a PC, but it's not a problem with windows, it's the hardware. It is up and runnning now, with TWO MONITORS to boot!
Re: Thread for Drawings
Bad Jon, you're getting this thread off topic, no more computer discussions

Re: Thread for Drawings
I think that's one of your best ones yet! I really like the perspective (I dunno if that's the right word to use) on the dragon- whenever I try something like that it looks totally distorted. However, I think the ribs are a little dark in comparison with the rest of the body.

Re: Thread for Drawings
yeah, I didn't do so well w/ the darkening... kind of uneven, but oh well. Whenever I try a weird perspective I have to spent like half an hour thinking about how it will look then sketch it a couple of times I'm already working on another dragon, finished the outline (a very unique point of view on this one XD)

Re: Thread for Drawings
I do have photoshop, but it isn't anywhere as awesome as painter. It has sensitivity, and it can make it look like watercolor, of pastel, etc. I did my drawing of sydney carton for tale of two cities on it... btw, here it is- I can't get the full-size version b/c I can't open it in painter and no other program recognize the file.

Re: Thread for Drawings
well if you become really good at photoshop I hear it is amazing... there is watercolor brushes on RMD XD but I see what you mean... how much does the painter thingy your talking about cost? o.O

Re: Thread for Drawings
I think about $50 for educational discount, or maybe just total- nowhere as expensive as photoshop.
