Re: Thread for Drawings
Really cool - what's really impressive is that they stay so consistent between the different views. Good job!
Re: Thread for Drawings
Okay, here is an unfinished drawing. pls critique.
I am trying to draw this in a more realistic style. I started it today, spent about four hours on it so far, haven't started on the hair yet, and I don't know whether I should shade in the clothing (please give me your opinion on that).
And here is the version without lines (I don't like it as much)
EDIT: Improved it slightly
ANOTHER EDIT: I think this is the final version (though if you have any critique I would probably edit)
With lines

Re: Thread for Drawings
maybe if you want lines, they could be a little lighter and blend in with the face just a bit more.

Re: Thread for Drawings
I'm not sure about that one- I personally like the version without lines best now, but the whole point of outlines is to outline the face- if you want it to blend in, than that is what the unlined version is for

Re: Thread for Drawings
okay. Anyway, I finished this (enlarged the nose a bit) and started another drawing... I'll post the finished one of this whenever I next remember/feel like it.Insanity wrote:Never mind, it's hard to explain.

Re: Thread for Drawings
Yeah - especially the ones around the eyes, for me, are really good. Well done!
Re: Thread for Drawings
Okay here is a WIP for another drawing I am working on (though it is not the only drawing I currently have going). I am not done coloring many parts of it, but the few parts I have shaded are up for critique as well as the general outline etc. (I especially want to know what you think of for the gun- I made it up myself ^^)

Re: Thread for Drawings
The shading is awesome! The gun is cool, but looks a little heavy for so thin a guy to be carrying it.
Re: Thread for Drawings
@ Asher- it is two-handed (he is only holding one of the handles), and he probably would not be able to fire it standing up
okay, here is an update. Any tips on how to shade the metal on the gun would be welcome

Re: Thread for Drawings
it doesn't need to be obvious- you may not see it. Though I may just put a little glowy square on one of the handles.

Re: Thread for Drawings
k, added a BG, little glowy blue button, and shaded in the hair. Tell me what you think of the BG- I spent a while figuring out how to achieve that effect (It is the sort of thing where you spend like an hour and a half getting it wrong, and then after you've figured it out it only takes ten minutes or so XD)
