Re: Thread for Drawings
You can increase your profile views and art faves by joining groups, trust me. I posted one funny edited picture of Horatio Caine on a group focused around crime shows and it nearly immediately received 8 faves.

Re: Thread for Drawings
k, I know that I'm sorta spamming drawings, but here are two really quick ones I've done. Don't be too critical, because they were just for fun, and I didn't spend too much time on them

Re: Thread for Drawings
Jon, that was exactly what I meant when I said "quick"; not many value shifts, bad/sloppy lineart, etc. With both of the drawings the main focus and the only thing I spent much time on was the face. In the yawning one, I spent most of the time trying to figure out how to do semi-realisticish hair, as well as radiosity (which I slightly overdid and he looks like he is wearing makeup), I didn't spend much time on the clothes, bed, arms, feet, etc. In the second drawing, which only took about an hour, I tried to practice radiosity with darker skin, and shading. I spent about five minutes on the hair, which is why it looks so sloppy. These drawings are me practicing specific techniques so that they will be better in my big projects, which is why some parts of them are so sloppy.Jon wrote:I feel the shading needs more values shifts in order to be more effective.

Re: Thread for Drawings
I little more detail could be put on his right hand. The fist looks like it is bending into the knife a little, overall amazing job!

Re: Thread for Drawings
lolz really awesome! That's the sort of drawing that is so time consuming that you'd only do it like once every two or three years XD

Re: Thread for Drawings
actually the clouds took like 5 minutes at most and as I finished the close grass and did the stuff on the farther away hills, it was just absent-minded scribbles. So it was probably like a 10 hour draw, just kind of tedious

Re: Thread for Drawings
Well, yeah, tedious. Drawing is boring when you spend hours on blades of grass, you don't make drawing like that much XD

Re: Thread for Drawings
well I drew most of the grass while talking to people so it wasn't so tedious
